Rick Peluso embarked on a distinguished career marked by a profound commitment to the nonprofit sector. With over 25 years of progressive leadership experience, Rick is a visionary and strategic senior nonprofit leader, renowned for his ability to drive organizational vision and cultivate collaborative environments.
His expertise spans critical areas including financial management, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement, all channeled through a passion for creating significant impact within membership-based organizations. Rick's career highlights include his tenure as Vice President of Finance at The SCORE Association, where he provided strategic advice, managed a $30 million budget, and consolidated financial operations for over 300 field offices.
Prior to SCORE, as Executive VP, Chief Operations Officer at the Household and Commercial Products Association, he led strategic planning initiatives, directed multi-department operations, and achieved membership growth after a period of decline. His deep understanding of association management was further honed during his 12 years at the American Society of Interior Designers, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Executive Director, spearheading financial planning, restructuring for improved customer service, and negotiating significant real estate transactions.

Board Experience: Rick currently serves on the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business Alumni Board (2025-2027), further demonstrating his commitment to leadership and community engagement.
